You really could save alot if you do it yourself. Just go to a hardware store and ask for the looks to be keyed alike. So you can use the same key with all the locks.

Two door knobs and a deadbolt will cost ya $50. Install them youself....I'm a chick and I have done it, its super simple. If you can use a screw driver and that's it, you can do it.
Otherwise open the phone book and ask them on hte phone what they charge. Probably 200.
dont get locksmith probably cheaper to get a handy man to do it (ecspecially if your single)may only cost you a dinner date (with him buying)
Locksmiths usually can change the cynider that accepts the key rather than replacing the lock.
My guess - $250 installed if they completely replace the locks, half that or less if they just replace the key cylinders.
get an front door lock set from your local hardware store and READ the directions...it is not hard and i know cause i just had to do it.
a lot of money!!! so go in the builders merchants explain what you want and they will give you exactly what you require better still take the old one off and take it with you as it might be long or short reach lock Have you got a dad or brother to do it for you

How can i get my boyfriend to move-out/change the locks on him,etc.. when i work 7-5?
he doesnt have a job , so he comes and goes a she pleases. I dont want to get the police involved, it will make it worse on me in the end!!

Tell him nicely that the relationship isn't working out the way you had hoped, that you need some space and you need him to set a date for him to move out. Stick to that date, and schedule a locksmith to come by that day to change the locks. If he refuses to leave then call the police without his knowledge and have him removed immediately.

i have to agree with steiner.. unfortunately if he is on lease too it will take a court order. if, however, there has been documented physical violence towards you, that is another matter....then documents have to be shown to housing authority..the trial period should be before moving in not after

Legally, you CANNOT change the locks on him. He lives there legally no matter what you think.
The only way to do this is via the court system using a notice to vacate, not an eviction. It will take time and money. Its different than if it was a room mate.
Burn a day of vacation and make arrangements to have the lock changed. Then, pack his stuff and set it outside the front door.
But the best thing you can do is tell him the relationship is over and give him written notice that he needs to vacate your home within 30 days. If he doesn't, then have the police escort him out.

Since you are the one paying the rent and he's not, it's simple if he's not on the lease and you need to change the locks. Coordinate with your landlord if you go ahead with this since he can get a no-trespass order against your guy as well.
If hes not on the lease and does not pay rent then you can kick him out.
Do it when you know he wont be home. Take him to a movie and have someone do it while you are gone.

Check with your home insurance you might be covered against lost or stolen keys, if so they would pay for, or send a locksmith. Once your in your house and would like to change the locks for piece of mind go to Double Glazing Supplies, ( in yellow pages) and buy some new Euro barrels(about 6 pounds each) and fit them yourself, to do this open the door and locate the screw that secures the barrel just under the lock and release the barrel by inserting the key, turn a quarter turn pulling as you do so and the barrel will come out. To insert the new barrel reverse the process.
you can buy a lock known as a barrel from b%26amp;q they cost around 拢10 and are very easy to fit if you are going to get a locksmith out get he or she to remove the barrel then you can take this to b%26amp;q or any window company for an exact match. don't let them tell you that you need a complete new locking system as you don't its just the barrel you can remove the barrel your self but it is a little tricky if you need to now how just ask
