hi...when they fit the immobilzer unit, the engineer usually combines the wiring with the wiring loom that runs into the back of your fuse panel...therefore find your fuse panel, unscrew it from the chassis, pull it out and i believe you will find two wires taped on somewhere with 2 added fuses (one for the alarm [5 amp] and one for the immobilzer [20 amp]).

so...pull out the fuses, replace your fuse panel, and your car will run ok...just means you have no alarm and immobilizer until you get the necessary codes.

hope this helps.

SORRY IT S A MAIN DEALER JOB ONLY LOOK IN THE FRONT PAGE OF THE SERVICE BOOK MAY HAVE A KEY CODE NUMBER THERE?
you have a problem, the car will have to go to the main dealer and go on their computer. V.W. are the only manufacture that does not supply the security codes when they sell a car, so although you own the car and every thing to do with the car they still charge for information that you should own (rip of or what)
Check out vwvortex.com There are a lot of VW owners there with information to share.
