purse was stolen, contained spare car key. since purse also contained drivers license, thief has home address. could steal car at anytime. for now, car is in the locked garage. need a permanent fix, can i go to dealership and get the locks changed? i heard this costs around $2000. any one have experience? thank you.

Yes lock can be changed. And no it does NOT cost $2000. Obviously german cars cost more than japanese. Try shopping around (including locksmiths).
