How easy is it to change your own locks on your front door?
If the new lock is the same size and type as the old one, it's not hard at all. Just requires a screwdriver and some patience. The sliding chain lock is pretty easy; a drill does make the process a lot easier.

If the new lock is a different type and requires drilling a new hole in the door, then that is more difficult.

It's pretty simple, like they said in the first question, all you need is a screwdriver.

Now for installing a new sliding chain lock, you will need a drill.
