The housing authority was supposed to check him out! They dropped the ball.

You need to move. As soon as the auction takes place out you go. If you force an eviction you will lose your section 8.

The housing authority should be able to help you find new housing and help you with your security deposit.

do you have a lease or are you month to month? If you have a lease, I think the terms of the lease transfer to the new owner. If you're just month to month, you'll need to negotiate with the new owner. Good luck!
Contact your case worker for your section 8...first thing in the morning....wait on hold, go to the office, etc....The landlord should have been approved though HUD. This is an issue on him. Your case worker will advise of the course of action in your state.
Did you notify your Section 8 agency? What state do you live in? In some states if you have a lease it has to be honored no matter who purchases the building; you can contact your states' real estate commission or call a realtor for more information.
