I need to change the locks in my new house tomorrow. Who do I call for that, a locksmith?

I figured it%26#039;s a locksmith that I need to call, but just wanted to be certain. I wonder how much it will cost to get all new locks and keys... 3 doors, 2 of them have deadbolts, too...|||Yes, he can just re-key them for you that you will have a new key that fits all the locks or a different key for each lock its cheaper. You don%26#039;t need to replace the locks|||id pull em and take to lowes or a home depot to rekey them, cheaper yet easy too|||Call and ask for an estimate. Depending on the condition of your hardware, you may decide to install new, yourself.|||Yes a locksmith can do it; he may even be able to just re-key your existing locks to avoid the expense of new locks. Depends on the types of locks you have.

Have you considered doing it yourself? It is a relatively simple task.|||Make sure the lock smith is licensed and bonded. There are a lot of crooks masquerading as lock smiths. They will re key your house and make a copy for themselves to use later.|||It is very easy to do the job yourself and save a lot of money. If you buy from Lowes, they can re-key them all alike. Then again I usually do that myself too.

Just follow the instructions. All you should need is a Philips-head screwdriver, unless your door/door jamb does not already have a lock.|||a trim carpenter should be able to do it, or a handyman. might be cheaper than a locksmith|||If you can have someone you know stay in your house, you can remove all of the locks and take them to a hardware store like Lowe%26#039;s and they will re-key them all to use the same key. I think they charge $5 per lock. It is a lot cheaper than a locksmith. Call ahead to see if there is someone in the hardware department available to re-key them for you. Tell them how many you have and ask how long it will take. Be sure to ask if they can re-key locks not purchased there. Otherwise you can buy new locks from them and they will definitely re-key them all for you! Good luck!|||Look in the phone book. There are locksmiths that come out to your house and rekey them right there. I had some rekeyed at a locksmith shop a few months ago - I took them in - and it was $8.00 for each lock and two keys.|||She needs someone to change the locks out...So it seems unlikely she should take them to Home Depot to rekey them, for she cant remove them..It would be cheaper for you to buy the locks and have a handy man put them in for you if I%26#039;m correct about what I just said..for You will pay more in labor to the handyman waiting on them to be rekeyed then you will to buy them yourself and have them onsite for the handyman when he shows up... A locksmith is going to charge you an arm and a leg to start with... A minimum of 75.00 just to show up, then the time to put them in..You will spend 150.00 bucks before he isout of there when you could purchase them and have a handyman for a total of around 90.00 bucks ..this is for materials and labor
