Paying someone else to do the job for you can be costly.|||not much, you just buy the locks yourself. and take the old ones out and put the new ones in. unscrew the square part in the side of the door, and pull it out. then just push the new one in, and screw it back in. Although some doors have a larger section to unscrew, but instructions are enclosed, usually between 拢3 - 拢10 each lock. make sure if they are outside doors you get 5 lever ones, most insurance companys will only insure you if the locks are 5 lever. this just means that there are 5 seperate sections inside the lock that the key has to turn, as apposed to 3 lever. You could take them to a lock smith and he will change the inside for you and make new keys.
By doing this you are not involved in trying to make another lock fit the existing opening, we are I think all presuming that it is mortice locks you are referring to as opposed to yale type cylinder locks. If the latter you can do the same or take one off and swop for brand new.
