Changing locks on a Ford Transit?

I%26#039;ve just bought a MK5 Ford Transitand the keys are so worn down that some of the locks won%26#039;t open (I have to get in through the passenger door!). I%26#039;ve bought a full set of locks (inc ignition and fuel cap) but have no idea how to change them without damaging the internal bodywork of the van.

Does anyone have any idea how to go about changing all the locks?

Thanks|||the ign lock needs to be in the aux position to withdraw it, there%26#039;s a small pin or clip under the housing that can be pushed up, (with the key inserted) which will allow the barrel to be withdrawn, remove the panelling on the inside of the doors and the barrel is retained with a big u shaped clip with a tag, you also need to disconnect the internal locking rod from it, the petrol cap should be obvious when you open the flap.

if you have the chubb type locks, you%26#039;ll find the security bar will soon reject new keys due to inconstancy%26#039;s.

while these are a good lock, their reproduction by fords is not.|||if your keys r worn u can take the lock out of glove box and take that to lock smith and have a new key made should be the same for all the locks on van saves alot of time and effort, same results. if no glove box the hatch is ur best location again u will only have to take one lock out not all of them another option is go to dealer with the vin number and they just might be able to cut u a new key from that
