I have recently got a new computer and I noticed that on the start bar the default button is 'lock' where the log off button used to be and I was wondering if I could change this button to 'log off' instead. Any help would be appreciated.
How can I change the lock button on vista start bar?
You cannot change the lock button in the vista start menu, but there is a workaround, you can change the start menu to the classic start menu
right click on the start menu
select properties
click classic start menu, then click OK

How to the change the lock screen background on my ipod touch?
The lock background on my ipod touch will not change. I am running V2.2 and have a NON jail-broken ipod. I did jailbreak it before at V2.0 but then went back to regular V2.2. Thanks.
How to the change the lock screen background on my ipod touch?
sorry but it has to be jailbroken.
I would not reccoment jailbraking your version because it has a higher chance of braking the ipod. i hope i helped!!!
How to the change the lock screen background on my ipod touch?
Well, you just have to go to wallpapers(settings--%26gt;display--%26gt;wallpape鈥?and select the one you want
if the background you want is under the picture folder in the ipod just open the picture and click the button use as wall paper
You mean the screen that says %26quot;Slide To Unlock%26quot; right when you turn on your iPod? Then just go to one of your photos and click the button in the corner and press set as wallpaper. if you do not have any photos, upload them onto your iPod from iTunes or a different place on your computer and do that. If that doesn't work, take screenshots of stuff on your iPod and they will be saved to your photo album, to take a screenshot you press the bottom and top button on your iPod and it snaps a photo. If none of these work download either Scribble, DodleIt, or iColors and save the photos you draw from there. Hope this helps!
After you have your image an your touch go to settings, general, wallpaper then pick the wallpaper you want. Or go to your pics and click he button on the left hand side then pick set as wallpaper.
first find a background that you like.. from a camera or the internet ect. then put them on your ipod ( go to your ipod click photos then sync from the folder that your pictures are stored) then go to photos at the bottom of your ipod, beside videos or itunes then choose a folder that your picture is in, i think its probably photo album, there should be a few icons at the bottom of your picture, pick the one with the curved arrow coming out of the picture frame and then click set as wallpaper.
To change the background on an iPod Touch you go to setting on your touch, than general, than you go to wallpaper. If you have saved photos you can change it to that. Apple provides some wallpapers for it.
Dude
i was just going to ask the same question

How do I "lock" a door from the inside without changing the locks?
Here's the deal:
I have a bitter employee that was fired earlier tonight who has a key to my business. I need to figure out a way to keep the employee from coming into the business TONIGHT with their keys. BESIDES CHANGING THE LOCKS, because it is 3 a.m. here and there is not a store open where i can buy new locks. There are 3 total doors--2 share the same key, 1 is different.
I can use a small board to %26quot;board up%26quot; 2 doors overnight but then obviously can't board up the 3rd without locking myself in! :)
Any creative ideas? (obviously very temporary---until sunday a.m.!)
PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!
How do I %26quot;lock%26quot; a door from the inside without changing the locks?
If you plan on using a locksmith tomorrow morning, you could super glue the key hole shut.
If the employee only has one of the keys, then board up those doors/locks and use the other one. I assume you came up with that one on your own though.
Good luck.
How do I %26quot;lock%26quot; a door from the inside without changing the locks?
Lay a mattress in front of the door--and sleep on it.

I was going to suggest something, but it won't work. We have a deadbolt lock than can only be seen from the inside. You would need to be able to get out.
First thing in the morning get new locks and long deadbolts. I hope that you
also have a good alarm system as well. Good luck. That is a sticky situation.
If you have something to anchor it around you could get an ordinary bike lock (flexi-chain type) or a chain and a padlock. If you don't have anything to anchor it around your best bet might be to superglue the lock like the other poster said since the locks are going to be replaced anyway.pc or mac myspace tweaks

How do I change the lock on my garage door?
I've recently bought a new house with a garage. The garage door has a lock (it's currently unlocked) but I have no key.
Is it possible to change the lock without having the key? It's a Henderson handle with the lock built in, and the garage door is of the up-and-over variety.
How do I change the lock on my garage door?
The T-handle type is very easy to change. Just two bolts hold it on, most often. A new handle should cost about $15 at a good hardware store. The same T handle is used on truck caps, so a place that sells those is a good place to find one, as well.
Re keying the old one requires more labor than it is worth.
A locksmith can easily impression a key for the old one, but again, it will cost more than a new lock.
How do I change the lock on my garage door?
Normally from inside it is possible to remove the whole lock barrel and replace with another.
There are usually two screws in the inside if the lock, take these out. Take the lock out of the door by pulling on the front part of the lock and the back. Find a local HARDWARE not home center in your area they are a lot more customer oriented. Ask them if they have a lock that will work in your door, if not, sometimes the lock can be re-keyed (the pins are changed out, and new keys are made).
Any locksmith can make a key to a lock providing you can get the lock off and bring it to him. I have done this for about seven dollars you have to weigh the cost between new or rekeyed.

How can i change a lock when i have lost the key?
HELP!! I have lost the only key to my sliding patio doors and they are now permenantly locked. Is there a cheap way of sorting this problem out? Can I change the lock when the lock is locked? How do I change the lock? Any suggestions greatly recieved.
How can i change a lock when i have lost the key?
THERE SHOULD BE A SET SCREW ON THE IN SIDE PART OF THE LOCK THAT WILL ALLOW YOU ACESS TO DESMANTLE IT FOR A NEW LOCK REPLACEMENT
How can i change a lock when i have lost the key?
A lock smith I believe can unlock the door and %26quot;form%26quot; a new key for the lock. They have a tool that goes into the lock and makes a mold to form a new key from.

Does anyone know about how much it would cost to get 2 locks changed in my home? regular doorknob and dead bol
I cannot get a locksmith to get back with me and I need to know about how much it will cost and be worth it. Thank you
Does anyone know about how much it would cost to get 2 locks changed in my home? regular doorknob and dead bol
You can do it yourself and save yourself some money, it's a LOT easier than it seems and only takes about 5 minutes.. When you buy the doorknob it will come with instructions on how to remove the current one and install the new one, you only need a flathead screwdriver for the whole thing.
The deadbolt is easy, just remove the screws and the replace it with the new one...
Buy the doorknob and deadbolt, give it a go yourself. Do not call the locksmith until you have at least given it a go...

How to change the locks at an apartment?
I'm in college and I live with 4 of my friends from highschool, but one of them has been a huge pain to live with and none of us like him, as he's a really messy and just generally shady guy. He knows we don't like him and we get in arguments a lot, and I really don't trust him. Our bedroom doors have locks but they are extremely cheap, I locked myself out by accident once and opened my door with a credit card in literally 2 seconds (I had never picked a lock before and didn't even know how to do it, I just jammed the card in and it popped open). I also tested this a few more times to make sure it actually was the lock at fault and it is.
I'd like to change the lock on my bedroom door to something better or maybe even a keypad or something, but I've heard that you're not allowed to do this at apartments without the landlord's permission, does anyone know if that's true? If it is, what would be the best way to persuade the landlord to let me change the locks? Thanks.
How to change the locks at an apartment?
You can change the lock on your door with permission from the landlord. The landlord must have a copy of the key for in case of emergency to get into your room.
Go to a locksmith store or Home Depot and you can change the combination without replacing the lock. All you have to do is buy a kit for this purpose. The locksmith will take your key and cut a new key to fix the old key pattern, and when you get home all you have to do is put the slog in the lock opening and the new key will work.
How to change the locks at an apartment?
The best way would be to contact the landlord and tell him you would like to get a better lock...perhaps you can split the cost of the locks You will also need to give him a key.
Have a locksmith change the lock on front door and leave a spare key with landlord with understanding that the shady guy is not to go in no matter what.
Don't change locks without the landlords permission. If you explain why he may approve, but he may ask you to pay for it.
Just give the landlord a copy of the key.
You can replace the lock/s on inside doors of the apartment without landlord's permission and then send copy of new key to him. You could conveniently break the doorknob justifying the need for a new lock.
You can not replace the locks on outside entrance doors without landlord permission. Landlord needs to be able to access his property with advanced notice to tenant at any reasonable time.
You can get new lock (doorknob, tumbler, etc.) at any hardware store. I would make sure the doorframe is properly intact first so not to defeat the purpose of a new lock.
generally the landlord cares about the main lock- if you change the lock that gets you into the apartment you'd have to give him a key. i doubt anyone would have an issue with you changing bedroom door locks as long as you can pass a key on when you move out.
one thing though- sometimes it is the quality of the door frame that lets you in, not the quality of the lock. i put a pretty good new lock on my main door and could still jimmy in with a credit card if the deadbolt wasn't locked, cause the door frame was a p.o.s.!
