Have tried many times various things, changing locks very often adding extra locks, expensive locks, yet the intruder is coming and stealing many items on daily basis without breaking door and stealing many items, anything and everything from utility bills, files to many other valuable items.
Installed VCR to find out who is doing it, someone still coming taking away the new VCR and replacing with corrupted tape and continuing to rob steal and run and members of family becoming ill because it is feared someone is putting bad things in bottled water in frig and making my family very ill.
The scary part is how they know when the family is in and when out. Even when go out for short shopping trip, someone is coming in and stealing floppy tapes full of information and other books containing information.
Who is this intruder using hi-tec surveillance on my family who is also probably doing to others also, how can I find his surveillance items in my premises. How can I detect this.

Get smart, get tiny cameras with voice and hide the recorder where it is not visible, or better yet, ensure that one is visible while another one is not. Set up tiny motion detectors that will alert you to an entry -- maybe even call your cell phone if there is a breach of security. You can mark your food and seal your containers in such a way as to know if they've been tampered with or not. Catch the culprits on tape and then set booby traps for them. Be careful to do this legally because you have to be in fear of your life to use force on people. Only illegal immigrants and other criminals are protected under our laws these days. Have wireless cameras set up and leave your house and sit a few blocks away while you monitor your premises. Then call in the cops when you see the culprit. The government has done this to citizens often. We catch them at it and laugh because we always have duplicates -- hundreds of them all over the country. Remember there is still microdot technology and other kinds of technology that permit you to catch the thieves. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our government worked as hard at catching the illegal immigrants, the terrorists and the identity thieves and gang bangers as it does on spying on loyal law-abiding citizens? Look up on the poles on your street with binoculars. Are there cameras on the poles? There are many around our town. Additionally, get yourself some spy manuals and see how the spies protect themselves. Watch out because some of us would believe you are warning us and others will believe you are paranoid and still others will try to have you committed. Spend time and learn. Remember that while they're spying on you, they are also protecting you in some ways because you are providing them with information. You just need to find out if it is Blackwater or the blackops or a government element or a criminal element. If it is a criminal element, what do you do or what do you have that is such a threat to them? Sometimes it's good to determine what kind of information they are stealing and what the possible uses of it might be. Then you can learn how to either stop them or feed them depending on the best legal solution. Build yourself some bug detectors. Take some electronics classes in college. Get electronics programs that self-teach. Where there's a will there's a way. Be careful about going to the law until you know who the enemy is. Otherwise you could have more problems. You should know that if they want to get you they will. The best you can hope for is to ensure that they don't want to. Make sure that they'll be exposed if something happens to you or your family -- insurance. Oh, and if you have onstar or some other kind of GPS device on your car, park your car in a crowded public lot, go into a store or somewhere where it will be harder to watch you and call a cab and take a cab or public transportation back to your house. Make sure that your cell phone doesn't have GPS tracking either because that tells everyone where you are.
We law-abiding citizens need to use technology to protect ourselves from all enemies.

You can always 'pretend' to leave and be your own PI to see what's going on.
Sounds like a family member or a neighbor. Put a camera somewhere and don't tell anyone where it is not even your wife. I hope you catch the sad SOB!
sounds like a inside job. dont tell anyone about what you are doing then set a trap or hire someone to do it
